School football  School Choir rocks   We solved puzzles in groups  Wandsworth Gymnastic Champions

Here at Ravenstone we have lots of optional clubs. Here are some of them:

Swimming, young leaders, French, football, gymnastics, volleyball, athletics, basketball, puzzle club, cookery, art, newspaper, chess, Oware, gardening, homework and choir.

Alistair in Year 2 is in Puzzle Club. We asked him what he liked most about it and if he would like to carry on into Year 3: “The games where you have to work out a code. I like them because they are really fun. I definitely want to carry in and think all classes should do it.”

We asked a Year 6 child what they liked about basketball and he said that you can play basketball with people you don’t really work or play with and get to know a wide range of people.

In the young leaders club, older children take responsibility to play with the younger children. The children learn co-operation, communication, organisation, safety and citizenship. The younger children really enjoy it.
