We ensure children are equipped not only with academic knowledge, but with the skills, confidence and character to succeed in their next stage of education. Our vibrant clubs and hobbies programme encourages pupils

  • set achievable goals
  • gain attention to detail and
  • make future career choices (although there’s no rush!)

Children's Club Autumn 2025

Many clubs tailor their offering to certain year groups. Please ensure that you book the correct day for your child's year group, as they will not be permitted to join a club out-of-year.  Some of the clubs also offer a free place for Pupil Premium children.  Please check with each club if they offer a free Pupil Premium place. 

Unless otherwise stated on the timetable, all clubs will:

start week commencing Monday 8th September 

end on Friday 12th December 

Half Term Monday 27th - Friday 31st October 

INSET Day: Monday 3rd November

SCHOOL SPORTS SQUADS

Ravenstone has a successful history of sporting success through its school teams. Throughout your child's time at Ravenstone, there are opportunities to become part of the following school squads and the potential to then represent Ravenstone in school team events:

  • Athletics
  • Cricket
  • Football
  • Netball
  • Swimming

PERIPATETIC MUSIC LESSONS

Does you child have an interest in music that you would like them to nurture beyond our weekly music lessons? Our carefully curated peripatetic music programme provides opportunities for child to gain knowledge and develop skills in:

  • Guitar
  • Violin
  • Piano
  • Singing

BREAKFAST CLUB

Ravenstone's Breakfast Club is available daily from 7:30 am for children in Reception - Year 6 and is hosted in our Lower Hall by familiar Ravenstone staff. 

Breakfast is served until 8am and consists of cereal/fruit/toast with toppings and fruit juice/milk/water to drink.

The cost for each Breakfast Club session is £7.50 per child and must be booked and paid for for in advance via Arbor.

AFTER SCHOOL CARE

After School care is offered by Balham Community Centre’s Schools Out Club and hosted at Ravenstone until 18:30 daily. 

School's Out Club is a leading provider of Wrap Around Care for primary school aged children, offering high quality childcare delivered in a safe and supervised environment. Our qualified staff are DBS checked to an enhanced level and have the following training processes in place:

  • safeguarding
  • first aid
  • prevent
  • equality & diversity
  • food hygiene and health & safety

Staff are experienced and are passionate about the service we provide.

All of our clubs follow the principles of playwork and offer lots of free play and free choice activities. Children can try a range of activities including arts & crafts, sports and they can enjoy a variety of toys and games that are available daily.

A balanced tea is provided daily, through a planned menu and we are able to meet the dietary needs of all children.

Sibling discounts are available (on a 12 month contract) and childcare vouchers and tax free childcare are also accepted. School’s Out Club is OFSTED registered.

Schools Out Club 

HOLIDAY CLUB

A Holiday Club is offered by Balham Community Centre’s Schools Out Club and hosted at Ravenstone for every school holiday apart from the Christmas period.

During the school holidays, we provide care for children aged 3 - 11 years. The club opens each morning at 8:00 am and closes at 6:30pm. We provide children that arrive before 9:00 am with breakfast and all of the children are given a mid-morning snack and afternoon tea. All children are required to bring a packed lunch each day.

Each day the children follow planned, prepared fun activities including table top and floor activities, arts & crafts, outdoor play, coached sports sessions and day trips. Our holiday club is packed full of fun and includes trips out to many of London's museums, commons, parks, adventure playgrounds and in the summer includes the beach!

The above is provided for one flat rate fee, with no additional costs for breakfast, snacks, tea or trips.
