Nursery - World Nursery Rhyme Week – Themed Day
Dear families,
To celebrate this we will be having a themed day on Wednesday 12th November. The children can come to school dressed as their favourite Nursery Rhyme character and enjoy sharing their rhyme with their friends.
Over the course of the week we will take part in the ‘Rhyme a Day Challenge’ and teach the children the following rhymes:
● Sing a song of sixpence
● Humpty Dumpty
● When I was 1
● I Hear Thunder
● Two Little Dickie Birds
Nursery rhymes form an important part of our curriculum and are fun and engaging for the children to enjoy. They support the children’s language and literacy skills, numeracy development and their personal, social and emotional development.
We are looking forward to a fun and exciting week in Nursery.
