A message from the Headteacher
The moment I became Headteacher at Ravenstone in 2016, I knew that it was a very special school that was filled with potential. As time has gone by I couldn’t be prouder of the children, staff and community around us. We have achieved so much in the recent years and we have developed a culture and ethos within the school that is of high aspirations, care and a relentless drive to be better and to provide the children with the very best start in life.
At Ravenstone we achieve excellence in everything we do and our values of Happy, Kind, Creative, Honest and Determined shape the decisions we made and the experiences the children are offered.
We provide our pupils with the skills and knowledge to thrive in this modern world. Our curriculum is based on a mastery approach and every lesson and every experience is tailored towards ensuring that every pupil reaches their potential.
Our role within the local community as a specialist school for maths mastery and a training school for early years development has led to excellence across our school and improved results. We are also the first primary school in Wandsworth to achieve the ASD/inclusion mark. This is complimented by our curriculum that is also filled with high quality dance and music lessons, swimming in year 4,5 and 6 as well as debating clubs, a mastery approach to the core subjects and importantly a PSHE scheme of work that teaches our pupils to be safe, astute and add to the world that they are growing up in.
I believe that the success of a school is down to its teachers and I am proud to say that everything we focus on and do is to develop as professionals and deliver the best possible education for every child in our school. We constantly strive to improve and introduce initiatives that will inspire every pupil to achieve and become motivated individuals who can succeed in their futures.
Strong partnerships with parents is part of our success, as is our committed community who work together to improve the school and outcomes for our children.
If you are joining Ravenstone, I look forward to welcoming you, if you are already with us, my door is always open and if you are an ex pupil; I want to hear of your successes.
Please do get in touch if I can help in any way possible.
